Go back to your garden plot, sweetheart! Go back till the evening falls, and tie your lilies and train your vines, till for you the Master calls. Go make your garden fair as you can, You will never work alone; Perhaps he whose plot is next to yours will see it and mend his own.

Medieval Feast
The McBrydes and Thompsons celebrated the completion of our unit on the Middle Ages with a Medieval Feast. As with our Roman Feast, it was well worth all the effort of putting together costumes and cooking the special dishes for the fun and memories that it created. Luke and Andrew, aka Robin Hood and Little John, had an archery contest. Luke narrowly beat Andrew by a few points. Well done, Luke. Hannah T. served as jester with several jokes and stories. Lauren performed a guitar piece as our minstrel for the evening. Ric surprised us with real chain mail and a real sword. A marine who runs a gym and has friends with real chain mail and swords - scary. I'm glad he's our friend and not our foe! A fun evening was had by all. Now, on to the Renaissance and the Reformation!
